I would imagine a community can ban any use, yes. But given the amount of instances there are and that you will have a different username I don't think it would be easy to track. I'm far from an expert though!

At least you can join different instances! And then you can still follow and participate in the same communities even if you were to get banned, there's at least some variety in the personal beliefs of people running them!

The liftoff app doesn't support Kbin so I guess that could be a barrier?

Is it possible to stop the screen from rotating on the Kbin app when my phone rotates? I have my phone settings so it shouldn't rotate from vertical to horizontal but for some reason only the app does in c/AskKbin@kbin.social

I keep trying to get my husband to stop checking Reddit and sign up for an alternative and in the meantime I'm sending as many awesome posts from them as I can 😂

How come whenever I subscribe to a Lemmy on a different instance it just says "subscription pending?" I don't know if these means I'll never actually be subscribed, or if I am and will see the posts i in c/asklemmy@lemmy.world

why do threads that reference articles on outside sites redirect to kbin and not the outside site? (for example, worldnews often shows the external news site, but clicking the link takes you to a kbin in c/AskKbin@kbin.social

How come whenever I subscribe to a Lemmy on a different instance it just says "subscription pending?" I don't know if these means I'll never actually be subscribed, or if I am and will see the posts in my feed but am not counted among subscribers from that instance? I'm not tech savvy so I'm hoping someone can help!
