Yeah, about half of my library already runs on Linux.

The problem I have now is that, soon, I'm gonna want to do a reinstall so Linux can have more disk space. :) My PC's pretty fast, so the reboot doesn't really bug me all that much.

Yes.

You just have to elect Greens instead of Democrats.

I've used reddit like 3 times since.

I don't miss it one bit.

I can just hear that photo.

Yup. All the big guys will enshittify.

Luckily, there's Linux and you can use Brave or Firefox.

Yep, I know. I have to log into Windows to manage the files on my Huawei tablet.

That's okay. I can do 99% of what I want on Linux without Microsoft snooping on me.

That's the thing.

You used to be able to count on Democrats to fight for social issues, at least. The Dems we have now are only concerned with increasing their own wealth, and that was very well-evidenced by their response to the Roe vs Wade leaks. Do you recall their response? They used it to fundraise and did nothing else. ($80,000,000 was the cost of your rights to bodily autonomy, in case you're curious.)

And now 2/3 of the states will get away with criminalizing abortion within another year or two, tops.

I remember when, in his first SOTU, Joe Biden mocked the Defund The Police movement, and called for increased police funding, even though the police are overtly fascist in most of the country and we all had just watched them proudly execute a man in the streets.

Now he's sending more bombs to Israel.

If you're telling yourself the Dems are the answer, I think you're just asleep at the wheel here.

There's no 'want' to it.

They already have. Idaho got away with criminalizing abortion, which means 2/3 of the states will do the same next session, just like how 2/3 of the states still allow for you to be paid $7 an hour.

In the absence of a true opposition party, the wolves are feasting.

Christ, that's so horrific to consider, all around.

I only switched this week, and I kinda disagree with the meme.

It's both.

I'm only dual booting because I'm a gamer and some games only run on Windows.

Not at all.

Democrats, by and large, don't accept any criticism of their party, preferring instead to make excuses or feign powerlessness on the part of their elected officials. (They share that trait with Republicans, in fact.)

And then an instance happens where having the same position as the Republicans means you either have to accept genocide or pretend in your head that you're still morally superior while the president you want us all to vote for sends the weapons over to make it happen.

It's like that meme with the red button. Your cognitive dissonance is impressive.

Just another example of something that could be universal if we taxed the rich appropriately.

FLINT—Eight days after entering the world, Khi’Meir Taylor made another debut — this time in what could be a national spotlight.

Wednesday was the first day of a $55 million experiment to test whether cash payments can protect children from the toxic stress of poverty.

I just thought it would be cool to put this out there. The Satellites featured several local skaters from Fountain City Roller Derby: Tiff (a former Team USA skater), Mel Malice, Aneeda Hurtcha, Annie Maul, and Queen of Hurts. As if that wasn't cool enough, Olympic Gold Medalist Erin Jackson was also skating for the Satellites.

Pretty. Effing. Rad.

If you're interested in checking out roller derby, you can find more info on fountaincityrollerderby.com.

Personally, my favorite is the Viking of Stamford Bridge. The thought that one man taking out 40 English soldiers and completely altering history in one epic fight is just awesome, and no one recorded his name.

They just gave him a kickass title instead.

Awesome.

This is the picture I like to show artists when they hate their stuff after a single layer of work, because I hate all of my stuff after a single layer of work, but it's important to remember it's a process.
