We will not be rewatching that. I couldn't make heads or tails if it when it was on the first time and I'm definitely not trying to revisit it. But it is that bad.

We are working our way through it now. The first season is absolute trash that is so dull and slow that it's almost impossible to watch. After that things pick up and start getting good. I'm told that you can skip the first season and come back and watch it later with an understanding of everything it's setting up. But I decided to watch the first season in proper order.

After we finished this it's on to Farscape.

Dan is the guy that knows stuff. Jordan is the loud sidekick comic relief.

Nuclear power is just steampunk with magic rocks.

I need to know that Dan and Jordan will get access to the desk.

That's certainly one way to read it. Except you don't know anything else about me. The problem isn't the interest in other identities. The problem is the complete clusterfuck of identities presented in that headline. Each additional descriptor narrows down the field of people it's talking about until you end up with n=1. It's so incredibly niche that most people, including myself, can't even picture what must be going on in the heads of these people. Maybe if there was a poster child that would help. But it would take a 30 minute podcast interview to delve into all of those aspects and help it all make sense. Just trying to square the religion plus anarchy section makes the brain hurt. And then we get more niche after that.

My DIY is normally "build it from scratch" instead of "buy a thing that does it for you."

The way you have it listed they are all "inverters". But an inverter is only one component of a solar system. In fact it's not even part of a DC only system. Most of what you have are complete systems minus the solar panels. Way more than an inverter.

Each day on Lemmy I scroll and scroll and then I reach a headline where after reading it I have to parse what it says. And then I realize it's gibberish. And then I realize it's the bottom of the feed and what I'm reading has a negative score.

Today this was that post.

This one has been in my head for a bit. A goblin mom to be trying to manage the chaos of a cave filled with goblin children.

What is the most masculine movie ever? What is the most feminine movie ever? What is the most femboy movie ever? What is the most malgirl movie ever?

My county just had a crazy night.

There was a big amendment to restrict zoning for chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc regarding quantity, coop size, distance from residence, roosters vs hens etc. People were big mad because it was going to dramatically regulate things. This wasn't going to impact us because of our Rural Neighborhood (RN) zoning. We were still going to have trouble because under current rules we were limited to 5 small non cat or dog animals. We are way past that limit and knew this could one day cause a problem.

Well something magical happened. They didn't just not pass the amendment. They repealed all existing ordinances regarding small farm animals. My county government completely wiped out an entire section of the ODU. No more restrictions. None. We are now completely legal. Which, I assume, means that if they do adopt new rules in the future we will be grandfathered in under the nonexistent rules that now exist.

My county got rid of rules. My land now has more freedom than it did when I moved in. This is something that hardly ever happens in America. Today was a great day.

Maybe Lancaster county SC will inspire others across the country.

I want to make a solar charger for tool batteries. I'm thinking plug a standard AC dual 5 amp 20v battery charger into an inverter charged via a solar battery bank. Enough to charge four batteries during the day. That's not in the budget so I'm going to start small with just one battery at a time (600watts?). Maybe two batteries a day if I can afford it.

Who here has built such a battery bank? What advice do you have? What handy online calculators do you recommend? Is there a spreadsheet available that is better than a calculator? In the past I would have looked for those myself but search engines are totally useless now. Would you rather have one big battery hooked up to the inverter or a bank of smaller batteries in series or parallel?

This run was nothing special. Nothing bad happened. Nothing good happened earlier than expected. It was just an easy run.

I don't really play to maximize wins. I just do it to fill time.
