Here in Australia, during the 80's, 90's before widespread internet. There would be several European's who needed rescuing each year as they decided to try and walk between major cities, because it looks close on a map.
I remember one German guy who needed rescuing while trying to walk from Sydney to Adelaide...that's 1200km away...in a straight line.
Nah mate. Just rip up the streets and relay them yourself, it's so simple smh.
Similar to twitter.
If I go to twitter mainpage I can't see anything without logging in.
If I go direct to a profile I see can't see anything without logging and;
If I go to a specific post, I can read the initial post but nothing else.
That's what I expect will happen to Reddit
I suspect you're correct, although I doubt removing old.reddit will cause much of a stir.
Notice how Reddit is releasing 1 shitty update every few weeks rather than all at once? By the time one shit update is released the vast majority of users have forgotten the previous one. Remember the API change? I reckon most of Reddits existing users don't anymore. I suspect old.reddit will go the same way.
I'll bet cash that it's only a short matter of time before old.reddit is shutdown and within 6 months of that happening Reddit access will be locked behind account login.
I think his point is that as long as Google is the primary funding source for Mozilla it's not worth relying on Firefox because there's always the risk Google will demand Mozilla capitulates and tows the line. Once/If Mozilla secure independent funding then they can be 'trusted'
I was going to make fun of you for being American, but then I realised that's like punching an abused puppy.
RIP my dude, hopefully one day you guys can join the modern world.

A made the mistake of watching YouTube on my TV a few weeks back, without an ad blocker. I was getting 1-3 15 second ads every 2-3 minutes!
