If that was their intention I wouldn't blame them either but Valve said it would become available for other manufacturers to use when the steam deck was first announced

What we really need is for valve to put out an official steamOS image so other manufacturers can actually put it on their machines
I have the nitro ev. Can definitely recommend but it's going to be annoying when every charger only supports NACS standard in a few years though

I'm not the most Linux savvy but when I ssh onto a work machine I'll use a terminal editor instead of copying the file onto a local machine, editing the file in a GUI and then overwriting the file on the remote machine

Icon packs are a "power user" thing but I wonder how hard it would be to put custom icons in via root or revanced type project
