yeah i haven't watched his recent stuff but i've been a fan since the first demo friend episodes, it was the deadly premonition lp that really sold me though. i'll also sometimes rewatch the life and times of bully demise to appreciate the craft of the storytelling lol

yeah, microsoft has the accessible xbox controller which can be made to work with most modern systems with a little tinkering. not sure whether this counts as an unpopular opinion or just ableism tbh

so, i don't claim to understand much in the way of philosophy, but the uncaring nature of the universe is pretty scary to me. you're right in that the universe itself doesn't have volition but that's exactly the point. the universe is uncaring because it's incapable of it, and that's what's frightening. i also have a phobia of being caught in heavy machinery, which i would similarly describe as 'uncaring'. it'll rip your arms off or whatever because it doesn't care nor know that a human is trapped inside.
do comic books count? i just started reading DCeased. otherwise i've finally cracked open Lolita, it's an interesting but disgusting read.
i like spooky games so every so often i'll rewatch supergreatfriend's ILLBLEED let's play. audio quality is dubious but the game itself is ridiculous and sgf plays it very well.

if you've played pokemon go it's a good way of bridging the gap, but if you've never played any pokemon games i'd probably suggest sun/moon for the 'core' experience.
