Are you suggesting that black people are regularly attacking people? Because if not then it's not the same thing is it?

I'm not sure you're understanding the situation. Imagine if 1 out of 10 dogs you approached were aggressive, would you feel happy around dogs? Or would you protect yourself?

You're fully aware that women are taking actions are protecting themselves, so why are you taking this personally? Why not just be understanding?

This is so common. We don't really tend to discuss it really cause it kind of harsh to be public about rejections, but it happens a lot.

I had a guy ask me out a few years ago, I really delicately explained I wasn't interested, and he took it really well and we had a hug. I told everyone about that for years because of how surprising it was.

So the issue is that suitable habit is being eradicated and one owl is adapting but the other owl isn't? Killing the first owl won't do shit, fix the habitat!

US Fish and Wildlife are a really concerning organisation from an outside POV, I only ever see articles about them when they're doing mad shit.

You've wrongly linked the behaviour with an action. Beagles yell regardless of what you do if you're not paying them attention.

Possibly, but it's also what Russia call the country in order to describe it as a region of Russia rather than a country and Ukraine finds it offensive, the Ukrainian embassies have requested it not be used.

Combined with this person referring to the parts of Ukraine currently under occupation I suspect they're using the offensive form on purpose.

I've done a bit of research and apparently there's a stat kept of the 'uncounted' ballots, this includes spoiled ballots, ones incorrectly filled in, ones that get damaged, etc.

[–] Devi@kbin.social 5 points 7 months ago

They don't get counted at all. There is stats for spoiled ballots but that is every ballot that isn't counted in the election, so say someone ticked two boxes instead of one, or if they used a pencil and it got rubbed away before counting, they all go together and nothing happens with them.

My parents used to do election counting, they don't count spoiled ballots, they just get thrown away.

Do you keep your sofa in a dark damp location? If not then your safe.

It's basically to differentiate 'homeless' as in all the people without a home, including those in hostels, sofa surfing, staying with friends, etc from the sleep outside kinda people. Rough sleepers are the latter.

"Sir, the people are so poor after all your cuts that they have to sleep on the streets, some of them have frozen to death, what should we do?"

"Take their money!"

"But sir, if they had money then they'd not be dead"

"TAKE THEIR MONEY!"
