Htmx has been solving the problem of a nice markup language for me. Everything goes in the html and just works. I'll be curious to see what the author produces though.

I would be curious about the power draw vs the water produced. Does it beat out current dehumidifiers by a lot? This plus storage could be nice in some of the drier climates with more infrequent rain periods.
Always enjoyed these, Braddie is from my home town and grey always has interesting opinions. They're still friends from what I've heard but there are no plans for a show revival.
Planning on building a small anemometer and open sourcing as much of it as possible. A small bering holding a rotator and a magnet with a reed switch is how im planning on measuring the rotations. Then it will be hard wired from there to a base station with an old raspberry pi that i have and a small display for recent data. Ill need to update the pi if i want wifi so i can stream data to a server constantly but this seems like a good start, upgrades can be made later.
I've been a bit curious about this recently, a good start would be collecting some anemometer data at the location that the turbine would be going up, for finer details on how much power will be generated. They can be a bit expensive so i might do a project at some point making a home made one with cheap components and an open source API for extracting data. Then looking into what your build would be. Vertical wind turbines might be good for suburbia (likely what i would build) and horisontal for larger land sizes that could go up on higher poles. I still need to do more research and prep work so take everything Ive said with a grain of salt, but Im looking forward to working on this stuff over the next few months.
Thats everybodys criteria and hes aware of the bad news.
Same for me, first occurance that I know of
Im Betting on a rust os eventually
I completly agree with all your points.
Given it is a "beta" its possible some features like ads and better ways of policing users could be added at some point. I dont have high hopes as louis has supported ad blocking in the past.
What im really interested in is the massivly reduced friction this alows for switching platforms. If everyone decides that youtubes gone and done something bad, people can vote with their content and stop uploading content there without losing their entire following. Might finally get one of the peer to peer alternatives off the ground if enough people support it.
Monopolies are bad, having a single simple front end with a plethora of back ends might help.
I love how minimal it is, I do wonder what the optimal max message length is. Might be good to do a quick scrape of useful message text to get an estimate. Sounds like the plan for larger messages is to chain smaller ones together. Any architecture larger than that? Maybe a header that just has the hash of the previous message in the chain to form a kind of link? Or a footer on the previous with the hash of the next so you know what to expect?
Nah I dont care that much, as long as he agrees its a bad thing its all the same to me.
My local library offers audiobooks through an app that ive been using a bunch and the city library has 3d printers that im going to try use instead of getting my own(for now, I'll see how much I use it). Go explore your libraries. Theres more to them than books.
