The sudo rfkill --list command just returns rfkill: unrecognized option. Appending sudo to the beginning of the other command I listed (the -vq | grep one) didn't work: it returns pcilib: Error reading /sys/bus/PCI/devices/0000:00:08.3/label: Operation not permitted`.

I'll check out that site and see if there's anything there that can help. otherwise I might just format the drive and do a clean install, see if maybe that will fix it.

Not sure how to connect to my phone's hotspot via Bluetooth, or if my Bluetooth drivers also need updating lmao. What drivers should I be looking for then, and where can I find them?

did the lspci -vv command, if the network controller is the WiFi chip, then I got: Network Controller: Realtek Semiconductor Con., Ltd. Device b85b. Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 88e6. Flags: fast devsel, IRQ 255, IOMMU group 10 I/O ports at f000 [disabled] [size=256] Memory at fce00000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled] [size=1M] Capabilities: <access denied>

not sure if that's the right thing. I also found another command that supposedly returns only the wireless card lspci -vq | grep -i wireless -B 1 -A 5 but that only returns the following line: pcilib: Error reading /sys/bus/PCI/devices/0000:00:08.3/label: Operation not permitted

I did the sudo dmesg command, but it returned so much info I'm not sure what's relevant or not. Is there anything specific within the log I should be looking for?

genuine question, what is the deal with fallout nv and subs?

[-] ComicalMayhem@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Interesting short! Are you planning to continue this?

only adds up if you find them, which is pretty hard on higher difficulties, considering you're in a mad rush to finish the mission, much less survive long enough to extract.

So far for me it's Konosuba and Dungeon Meshi. I've already read Mushoku Tensei and I don't think I can stomach watching it animated, but I haven't really heard much about any of the other new releases.

SPEAR

People sleep on this thing exclusively because of how finicky the lock on is, but it's way too good against the bots. I can take out turrets and fabricators from a mile away. once I closed an entire heavy outpost with just a spear from atop a hill. only thing that comes close is the auto cannon, but that requires everything to line up, whereas the spear? aim, fiddle with lock on, fire, move on. once you understand how to get around the finicky lock on, you can basically fire and forget.

personally, it's worth taking just to get rid of the turrets. those things are such a pain in the ass getting close enough to orbital strike it or to shoot it's vent, and usually results in someone dying a few times to it. worse when there's two of them, so if taking a full support weapon and backpack slot saves a few reinforcements, then I'll take it any day.

I make good use of the eagle smokes instead of the orbital purely because I can use it more often than the orbital one.
