Water bottle next to your bed where your laptop and phone are. Meds inside a pill organizer right next to the water, on top of the laptop or phone. Take immediately upon waking up. It helps a lot.

The only people I've seen forget to take them with that setup are people who secretly don't want to take them lol.

I swear! I went from always missing my meds to never missing a day! I put my pill box on my phone and never looked back!

Same for laundry, putting it right next to the front door to not forget to bring them to the laundromat.

It's foolproof!

You guys have meds?

I use an android app called MyTherapy that nags you every five minutes until you confirm you took your dose.

If I could get any meds lol

It only took me $1,500 in out of pocket despite having insurance for them to start helping with meds since Vyvanse is the only shit you can get with any sort of regularity. Adderall XR is essentially impossible. I have to get a script for both regularly in case they can't fill one. Thankfully all last year it was relatively easy to get Adderall still, this year it's been impossible since February. I think I filled my bottle twice? lol

Yeah, I can’t even get Vyvanse anymore

Fwiw request a higher dose and measure it yourself if needed. I had a much easier time finding 50s than 30/40s. If you have a good honest relationship with your psych they normally have no problems with this and they may have asked already for weening any SNRIs etc. I had to do it with Duloxetine when it started giving me brain zaps after two years of good use lol.

I do not recommend Adderall. It puts you in a tunnel and gives you laser focus, but you see nothing outside the tunnel. The things outside the tunnel are sometimes very important.

If you need to focus, sometimes the answer is to find better things to focus on. If you find one of those things, your natural abilities (known to most as disabilities) will drive you towards your goal faster than any pill, or normie is capable of.

I am not a mental health professional, nor do I know every use case of this drug. Take my suggestion with a massive heap of salt.

Oh man. PLEASE do not recommend people with Dopamine Deficiency to skip their medications. Reckless comments like this could lead vulnerable people down a potentially deadly path.

Your comment doesn't need a massive heap of salt, it needs to be taken with every grain of salt in the world. DO NOT skip your medicine if they work for you and you have been taking them for years. Withdrawal from any medication, not to mention medication that you're brain needs, can and will lead to bad consequences.

I can't believe I'm having to say this.

I get major imposter syndrome if I do actually have ADHD, cuz I never forget to take my meds..

I just find it so much easier to remember one thing that then makes me remember all other things. (I guess it does help that I have to take just 1 per day)

You guys are taking meds?

I mean, yeah... Some folks absolutely need them. I was medicated growing up, though, and I'm a lot happier, and more productive without them.

My issue was purely learning-related, though. If you're on meds for mental health, do not stop taking them without professional guidance.
