I always thought that song was a defense of segregation, but TIL it was not intended that way and even Neil Young felt he deserved the rebuke. It's a better story than the supposed "feud".

Jelly is so good when he sings. It's kinda strange that he didn't sing much early on when you hear him now, when he's known better for his singing than his rapping. As a rapper, he's decent, but nothing stellar.
But as a singer? His voice is very distinct, and his lyrics are great, so you end up with some really powerful songs. Save Me is what he's best known for, but Still My Hero just wrecks me every time I hear it now that my dad is getting older.
This is my first time honestly listening to him, but so far I like it!
