I relate to this on a deeply spiritual level

It’s not something that I usually watch but it was a real pleasure, a bit more chill :)

Cuz .ml defederated ani.social.

The rest of us have all left this anime-hostile instance.

You are saying that .ml is hostile to anime?

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yes. !anime@lemmy.ml was abandoned about half a year ago because .ml purged a bunch of anime communities, and defederated the main anime instance on the threadiverse.

Why did you think they had to go looking for a new mod on the main community?

You can't see it from an .ml account, but compared to ani.social, anime-related communities are essentially dead on .ml.

If you're an anime fan, having an account on .ml cuts you off from most of the relevant activity on the threadiverse.

Well, if the admins did that, they must have had a good reason.

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 3 points 5 months ago

The initial reason given was CSAM, which was bogus. They then backtracked on that because there wasn't anything to actually point fingers at.

Still they didn't actually re-federate, the reason given was essentially "too much anime art".

This leaves .ml in a state of limbo where being an anime fan with an account on here, leaves you cut off from 90% of other users engaging with the fandom. !anime@ani.social, !manga@ani.social, !dungeonmeshi@ani.social, !anime_art@ani.social.

Still no blu ray last time I checked.

[–] Confidant6198@lemmy.ml 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, it hasn’t come out yet. Does the blue ray always come out nowadays even when barely anyone owns a blue Ray player?

They do get released. I need a source of high quality rips for the NAS to stream from.

What i love about this show is what happens after the story ends. Lots of story have this ending of epic quest, but i always wonder, does your happily ever after last forever? Thats when Frieren takes the direction to answer those questions. I love the approach, everyone loves conflict and major problems. Very few shows actaully go on to talk about what happens after "peace" in a more world view.
