I've been wanting to find a journal app that shows you how you've been keeping up with making down notes, so that I could keep track on myself and be attentive to those things

Currently, I found MoeMemos to be just that, except I don't find it that easy to set up how I want (Docker image took plenty of tries since I'm very unfamiliar with it, and can only save notes when on the same local network)

Does anybody have recommendations for similar apps? Nothing crazy with features, I find MoeMemos to be exactly the right amount. Ad free and FOSS would be also great, it just makes sense haha

I did not get what exactly do you need. Most of Journal apps can notify you and show calendar view. I use diarium and satisfied with its functionality. It is not Foss and is a fremium (all features cost few bucks as a one time payment)

I've started using orgzly + synching in the last few weeks. I think that this will give you what you need.
