80% of the articles in my discover feed are so obviously clickbait i feel like I'm back on 2010 Facebook... Like "Scientists worked on a new beverage for 10 years, what they discovered will shock you" or things like "These three daily exercise will get you mean in one week". It's so obvious and low quality, does google not kind of filter it's sources for the discover page?

Google are an ad company. That page exists to show you ads and click bait articles filled with ads.

Turning off Discover is the first thing I do with a new phone. It's utterly worthless. In fact, it's worse than worthless because if I open Google it's because I want to search for something. Don't try to distract me while I'm busy.
