I think a lot of us were hoping Sony would replace leadership in bungie and reverse all the terrible decisions Bungie has made.

Sony was never going to fix Bungie. Bungie has a history of poor management since the Halo days.

I don’t think we’ll see them replace leadership at Bungie unless there’s another “missed profit projections by 45%” incident. We also don’t know the full story behind Joe Blackburn leaving. Could be he was burnt out. Could be he was forced out due to poor sales. People in top positions like his tend not to get fired but given the option to quit.

I’d also argue that Bungie has been making mostly good decisions and adding good features to the game since at least Witch Queen. Hell, they just undid sunsetting which I thought would never happen.

Well Lightfall was shitty, so no everything isn't good since witch queen.

Oh I missed the un-sunseting, I need to look into it.

I'm pretty pissed off at Sony. I spent years in D2, left when Lightfall landed (game was becoming a chore, filled to the brim with FOMO) and it turned out to be a rushed DLC/content filler added between Witch Queen and... The last DLC I forgot the name of (with part of the witch queen cut-pasted into Lightfall, abominable story/writing, etc...)

I just started playing and enjoying HD2 and this now...

Edit: oh yes and I forgot all the content removed and probably a billion other things...

Shame because the gameplay was fun and the artist were always quite talented and it showed.

Yes. That’s why I said mostly good things. Lightfall was crap and the seasonal content model got stale years ago.

The roguelite thing with some of this year’s seasonal content has been refreshing.

Also I appreciate that they are reducing how much you have to grind to progress the seasonal story.

I'm at the point where the only way I'd consider it is if they change "we're going to stop removing content" into "we're giving back every single piece of content we've taken away since day one of D2".

Because I paid for plenty before they turned it to shit.

Yeah I am still waiting for them to bring back the older campaigns. Some people like doing the story in order like a movie marathon.

I don't care about the story, personally.

I paid for that content, and it's better designed.

I don't really think Sony can fix Destiny at this point. Yes, a colossal amount if problems stem from piss poor management, but people are also just burnt out and fed up. My clan, where people used to flood LFGs near instantly, haven't been able to fill a pantheon group properly since it came out. While the current patch has definitely revitalized interest a lot, it's just not enough
