Like the first in the series, Into the Radius 2 is set to initially launch on Steam Early Access for PC VR headsets sometime in 2024. The team says EA will allow them to get valuable feedback and suggestions from players, something that “played a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the game,” CM Games says on the game’s Steam page.

While the original eventually made its way to Quest back in 2022, the studio says in a post on X (formerly Twitter), that Into the Radius 2 will “first follow an early access development cycle on Steam. We’ll mention other platforms when the time is right.”

I haven't played much of the first game. Is the 2 a continuation of the story or are they going for a completely new story in the same world?

Afaik it’s a different character and it all plays after the first one. The first one has been one of my favorite games so far, although it can be quite stressful to play.

There is a story but I frankly don’t remember a ton about it, it’s been more about the gameplay and general feel of the game, for me at least. Judging from that, even if it were a continuation that wouldn’t keep me from playing the second one.

Worth playing the first either way, you've got time. IMO it is #2 after Halflife for VR.

I hope a Quest version isn’t too far off. Multiplayer is going to be great, I can’t wait.

First game is great. Pretty much the only FPS I play in VR these days.
