This is a place to share greentexts and witness the confounding life of Anon. If you're new to the Greentext community, think of it as a sort of zoo with Anon as the main attraction.

Be warned:

If you find yourself getting angry (or god forbid, agreeing) with something Anon has said, you might be doing it wrong.

Analog greentext horror? 🤔

~~also volume warning that shit's loud~~

Edit: I just thought of something. As with any 4chan story I assume this is simply fake, but putting skepticism aside for a second... I distinctly remember one day when my grandmother was on the phone and her call got incorporated into my dream because I could hear her talking. In the off-chance that they're telling the truth I'd guess this anon just heard the call/voicemail while they were sleeping and it got incorporated into their dream.

More than likely the case. Most people don’t realize the things their brain hears and filters out because to do otherwise would be extremely overwhelming. And your mind tends to incorporate the physical world’s happenings into dreams. Hurt your foot? Something bit it in your dream, type stuff.

So yeah, most likely heard the answering machine going on, couldn’t understand the words so just made shit up along the way.

I once had a dream where eventually the “camera” pulled back and up like it was on a crane/jib and credits started rolling with music playing. I woke up but still heard the music, which was coming from my alarm clock.

This enby wakes up to the Cheers theme every morning

This happened to me on 9/11. Brain heard it going on because the news was on and dream me picked up on it.

Yeah, I hung out with various morning show hosts who would both talk to me and ignore me many times back when I still had a radio alarm.

Okay I came back to play this after my kids went to bed and I kind of wish I hadn't.

We do a little tomfoolery in hyperspace

[–] ToyDork@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Or Hypnospace. Or Wonderland, the Dreaming, the Oneiros, the Glade of Dreams, the Outback, Nightopia, Oneiroi West, Phantomile, Limbo, the Dreamlands...

And that's just non-Anime/Manga examples.

I'm partly convinced that, even if not supernatural, there's something seriously "contrary to the theme of reality" about dreams. By Trope standards, it should be far more niche than it is... unless there's some truth to it.
