These buds are meant to last more than just a few years.

The batteries on that image in the article look like standard button cell type batteries (not sure that's the correct name for those...). But I never saw any of these that are rechargeable? Are these developed by fairphone? I'd love some rechargeable button cell batteries.

Yeah, same! Looks like the name is coin or button battery and it seems like they do exist as an rechargeable option but it's really hard to find them from on Amazon ...

I did replace the batteries on my Sony earbuds to partial success. The batteries were not hard to find, I just had to dig around slightly for the right model. I actually even managed to upgrade since there was a new model of the battery since the earbuds had come out.

Oof, quite bad reviews. Also would need a charger for those then. But thanks for sharing, didn't find those previously somehow.

Ah damn, I didn't even check the reviews albeit the ones on this listing smell like poopey fake reviews.

In regards to charging them thou, they shouldn't require a separate charger since they'll charge up in the earbud right?

edit: in fact, I think they use these 1054's instead

Yeah, you are right. The earbuds would charge them. I was more thinking of replacing others I got in some children's toys for my kid. I have been trying to avoid anything that uses these cells since they are so expensive and run out quick, but some stuff we got still uses these.
