Do you think there was a point where Michael Jackson wasn't allowed to use the n-word anymore? Where would you pinpoint the moment when it became inappropriate? (kbin.social)

I honestly don't think I can confidently define if/when there was a shift in morality on this topic.

Seriously though there was never any need for MJ to use that word, he had his own language of Shamown, EeeeHeh, chkg, etc.

Allowed? By whom? You know there are black people who abhor the use of the word no matter the person, right?

There are white people who use it freely, with black people.

I don’t care to use it, so I don’t. And I’ll speak up when I hear people (tbh this is mostly gaming online) when I hear the word used in a derogatory manner.

I get the feeling his father probably screamed it at him and his brothers while beating them throughout their young and young adult life. So that might have dissuaded usage.

Ah so do you think he was so racist against black people he turned white? If used in a degrading manner against black people I don't think MJ should be tolerated to say the n-word probably after he got his first nose job.

I was suggesting that there would be deep trauma and he'd associate the word (amoung other things) with his father. Not necessarily race.

He "turned white" because he had early onset vitiligo. It's why he wore the white glove early on, to hide his skin on his hand.
