I've tried Nero and remain unimpressed. The mochi waffle at Canffle is pretty good though!

I don't have a suggestion for you because even though I love waffles I don't usually order them. But I'd be interested to see some other suggestions here.

There's a place on Robson across from the library that used to always have lines. I always figured they got on some list of "best place for waffles" or something.

Cafe Medina? They do Liege waffles, so it depends on of that is the style you want.

I was thinking Le Petit Belge

I've always assumed that place was a front since you almost never see anyone in there (at least during working hours when I'm in the area).

A lot of the DT brunch places are packed on the weekends but pretty empty on the weekdays. Especially true post-covid when we don't even have much of the office crowd. You yourself was looking at the restaurant instead of eating in it!

It gets pretty decent lines at lunch. Or it used to. I don't frequent the arwa as much anymore.

Le Petit Belge? It's... ok. Not worth waiting in line for on the weekends but if it's a short wait on the weekdays it's decent.

I guess I like them a bit crispy but fluffy on the inside.

That's the one I was thinking of

Craffles is my favourite. I'm partial because they have a touch of Brazilian cuisine, though. Amazing. Nemesis Coffee is my hidden gem: whatever they have for the day is 10/10.

Cafe Medina was great too, but not significantly more so that justifies 1h lines, specially not compared to Nemesis.

Find a place that makes Korean croissant waffles. They are delicious. We go to Krun Chicken in Mission, but I am sure there is a similar place in Vancouver

If Metro Vancouver don't have it, you think it's worth the drive out to Mission to have a taste?

The Medina Cafe makes pretty great waffles. The restaurant got a mention in the last michelin review too 👌

Reporting back after having Craffles on Davie. It was pretty good! But the seating is a bit cramped inside so I'd prob just order a simple waffle to go and take it across the park to eat.
