This sounds like Series S requirements/limitations. The series X could easily handle the game but since Microsoft requires it to run on Series S they probably made the choice to work it on PS5 then would push resources to work out the Series S issues. Makes sense.

MODERATORS
Microsoft controls both Xbox and Windows. If Valve can make Windows games compatible with Steam Deck, Microsoft can make Windows games compatible with Xbox.
