The GOP are selfish people. They won't understand why a program or right is needed until it affects them. I have this argument with my in-laws often.

Me: We need (insert Student debt relief, Universal Healcare, ect). This would help millions of Americans.

In-laws: Why should I pay for (insert topic above). I didn't need it.
