Elections are always so disappointing.
I get all excited thinking we've half a chance at some progress, and all that happens is we get more Liberals. Or more of the same Liberals.
I think we got one more green didn't we?
I have met our local councillor, she's nice enough for a Liberal, but she's doing fuck all for us. We live in a small suburb on the edge of her electorate and we're basically the bastard child. There's not a single council service in our suburb. Not a footpath, not a playground, not a bbq, not a dog park, nothing. She says that she's building a playground but after nearly two years it's still in the planning and consultation stage. She's pretty busy putting her name on signs in front of every median strip tree and park bench that gets installed though - as if we should personally thank her for the council maintaining the gardens. It worked though, she got back in with an even larger majority.
