It doesn't look like this community is properly federating to my new instance, so here be a test post of the first MG I built many many moons ago. I coated every piece in Future Floor Acrylic and it was very very glossy when fresh. It's lost some of the shine over the years but thankfully there's not much yellowing.

Looks like it’s stood up well to time! You’ve got me thinking I should probably give a more uniform clear coat to my devil gundam so it lasts longer too

Keep an eye out for if any of the clear pieces have that frosted look... I have had bad luck with gloss coats on clear pieces that weren't already glossy. Could be user error or choice of tools but I don't know for sure.

On a meta note, I see your reply on my new instance, and my post, but am missing a few of the more recent posts and all of the voting info. Weird.

Edit: okay, so I self-downvoted my test replies from st.w, and I'm now seeing those votes on srlpnk. I'm also seeing @wfh@lemm.ee's post from a few days ago for the first time on slrpnk, but none of the replies or voting beyond my own. Fingers crossed that this gets unstuck.

🤞 hope it worked out.

Good to know, I’ll look into it a bit more before I try.
