I'm wondering if it might be time for a new vacuum at some point. The normal one I have has crap suction and the Big W stick vac I bought because it was lighter doesn't have replacement parts. (The crevice tool broke and I keep cleaning the filter rather than throw the vac away.) Also the hole isn't round, so if I got rid of the big vacuum I couldn't use the stick vac to suck the air out of the plastic space bags.
But some medical bills are heading my way so I might see if I can fix them. I won't be removing the motor or messing with the wires but maybe it's as simple as cleaning filters or finding a deep clog. (The rigid part of the hose already got checked and it's bagless.)
If I can find the crevice tool I might be able to fix it with resin or loctite putty. Loctite is probably the safer option but more annoying to buy.
Edit: Oh yeah, and the biggest one is they blow out dust when used which can aggravate asthma. My next one will be a HEPA vacuum
