Lemminator is a web UI that aims to make Lemmy more approachable for a broad non-technical audience. It can be hosted by Lemmy instance owners, and Lemmy.world users can use https://lemminator.netlify.app/.

Wefwef really positively surprises me. It clearly draw heavy inspiration from Apollo but in a good way

Could you add an (Announced) or similar to boost?

Can you please add muffed for lemmy

Thanks for the list. I don't want to go through the effort of installing from github so am just trying the web apps for now.

Wefwef is really good so far!

Can someone tell me which one is the most similar to RiF on android. I am new here and just signed up recently

Does anyone know of an app that checks the following requirements?

  1. Has an equivalent Reddit app (I think Boost and Sync are examples of this?)

  2. It can remember where you left off even if you close the app. Suppose I'm browsing the top of all time of a particular sub and I want to keep going later just where I left it. Is this something possible with apps or only with mobile browsers?

  3. Doesn't have issues playing both videos and gifs.

Maybe good to mention that Jerboa currently only works on 0.18 servers, which aren't too many yet.

Thanks for this! Keeping track of them all is getting overwhelming, or at least for me it is.

I'm really loving Wefwef. It's SO MUCH like Apollo!

Can you add me too. Desktop/mobile/Android/Ios all in one.

https://createlab.io/ https://github.com/ando818/lemmy-ui-svelte

Though I see now mine looks just like wefwefs and they're way ahead of me so I lost quite a bit of motivation to do this.

Very important note: We need Oauth. Putting your username/password onto an external app is not safe. A malicious dev can log all of it.

Added, thank you.

You can feel free to create a post promoting your website.

If you are doing similar things, maybe it makes sense to merge forces and collaborate. It should get you faster to the goal, so no need to lose motivation ;) Let me know if you decide to merge with wefwef.

[–] rist097@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Why the obsession with apps? Apps are pushed by companies because they can show ads regardless of installed ad blockers and because they can harvest more data about you to sell to advertisers. Because of this they've been progressively making the mobile web worse for years now to force people onto their apps.

But it doesn't need to be that way. Mobile websites can operate just as effectively as mobile apps and I think this website is a great example of that. I for one would love not having to click "no, I don't want to open your website in your stupid app, that's why I opened it in my browser" every time I visit a website on my phone. It used to be that way. I'd love to see it that way again, and this site is a step in the right direction.
