Without MvdP, the Trek train is looking strong, but the sprint is a little too flat for Pedersen.

On the other hand we are also approaching the stages where most of the fast guys have lost a bit of speed and Mads starts catching up to them.

I'm still going to go with Philipsen, though...

MvdP is still in the race isn't he? I've seen reports that he is a bit ill, but nothing about anything else.

His team manager just said he improved a lot overnight and tested negative for covid.

Yes, I was trying to reply to a post which said he was feeling ill :D

This has Philipsen written all over it, all though MvdP is feeling a bit sick apparently.

Would be good to see where jasper's speed stands without the full carpet ride. I feel like the margin was pretty comfortable in his wins, so would guess he still comes out on top. Maybe ewan closest?

It'll be interesting to see if Philipsen manages to sprint in a straight line, this time. IMHO, the jury only let it slide in Bordeaux because it would have made Cav's record by jury decision. Nobody wanted that. But I do think they will err on the stricter side, from now on, as far as he and MVDP is concerned.

As a sprinter now, pog will be very disappointed with that 20th place.

I'm rooting for Girmay on this one.

Safety goggles on the podium please
