Yeah if you don't like something, just listen to the next album, it'll be completely different. My favorite KGLW trivia tidbit is that in 2019 they were nominated for ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) music awards for both best heavy Metal/Rock Album and also best blues &roots album. Just 2 years after being nominated for best jazz album.
Also I hadn't seen the microphone deepthroat and that's great 😂
I definitely love them and never knew this so thanks! I also never knew they had a jazz album? I guess I gotta go back and search. Went half way across the country last year to see them at a festival and I was not disappointed. I have seen a lot of live shows in the past 20 years and they may be one of the best that's out there right now. Great show!

Ah, obviously it would be something metal. Metal bands are just so damn funny
just the Petrodragonic Apocalypse and Infest the Rats' Nest albums are metal, but their catalogue includes microtonal music, garage rock, prog rock, synth pop, boogie, electronic music, rap, jazz, and more. If you are interested, the album called Omnium Gatherum dives into various genres.
Don't forget folk ballad (eyes like the sky) (not sure that's the official genre but it's the best i can think of)

they aren't just metal though, emphasis on the 'progressive.' they are incredibly prolific and bend genres
They're barely metal. 1/12 of their albums are metal. Australia must have one hell of a psych scene though
