Hello, My child will be joining a Swedish school. They are 13 years old. Do Swedish schools have a homeroom teacher? This is someone who they meet with every day for a short period of time. This person remains with them throughout their school career.

Not necessarily every day, but they have one of the teachers as a ”mentor” or class teacher.

Every student gets a "Mentor", which is one of their teachers that handle contact with parents etc. Hopefully it will be the same in grade 7-9, unless the teacher quits or changes positions.
