This started with the most recent update and happens on all text posts. I can't see behind images or the comments though.

Odd, could it have something to do with your theme settings? I'm on the recent update and I don't have that

I haven't messed with the theme. Purely default for all I know.

Any phone-wide themes that uses transparency by chance?

The default theme AFAIK uses Material You and just pulls the settings from your phone.

Mine's all fully opaque.
