I’ve had better luck finding them on land. Although I’m certain you can find them there as well

Anywhere. They're usually plenty of them anywhere between those points.

They are not that common compared to the red ones or the "moon" type. I grew up on the west coast and I remember seeing maybe one or two per day, usually surrounded by hordes of lion's manes.

Did you see a lot of jellyfish in general? They tend to come and go.

I have not seen a whole lot, 15 moons and like 5 lions manes in the past 3 days

I guess that's your problem then, on a "good" day you would see hundreds of jellyfish just walking around the shore. And among those maybe 1-3 blue ones, unless they got a lot more common in the last years.

Are there weather related things before said good days or just unpredictable I guess?

On the one hand they don't like warm (+20°C) water so they will attempt to swim to deeper waters during hot summers. On the other hand they aren't the most powerful swimmers so they will still mostly end up where the current takes them, i guess this is less predictable.

Yes I know, but I want to see them, trying to find them for years (been to Scotland and Denmark and found none, only the lions manes)
