A lot of the questions are implying a solution but filled it out nonetheless.

Has extreme hostility towards adblocker and similar tools become the new government normal when I was sleeping? On mobile FF with those extensions, tapping on any link simply reloads the page.
If there is a hall of shame for such things
In Jerboa this post's link doesn't open in my android default browser. If I copy the link and post it into Fennec (with uBlock Origin) I'm able to start filling in the survey.
I initially opened this in Thunder which interestingly opened the link without leaving the app (or without appearing to) so I'm guessing that's some flutter or chromium embeded browser. No idea.
I had removed all chromium browsers and disabled chrome. The link opens in chrome which has no extensions. User hostile or in this case citizen hostile sites are the normal government attitudes it seems.
Questions on the survey inspire no hope either.
I never understand this approach of just asking people what they reckon is ok. For example:
- What are the issues faced by renters when moving into a strata scheme? Would better disclosure about the strata rules for moving in help with this?
I dunno. Would it? Why are they asking me? Find somewhere where the rules are clearer, then find somewhere where they are unclear, then tell us the findings. Ask interstate and even internationally.
There is a bit of comparison done with SA, VIC and NT in the linked consultation paper. Places with more renters such as Europe would be interesting too.
Wtf shouldn’t the strata rules be in the lease?
Yeah I think they should be. But we don’t actually know whether that helps per se.
Think about it this way: adding even more fine print may not actually lead to easier moves for tenants and existing residents. Instead moving-in rules could be determined by state or federal government, and available at, for example, https://www.nsw.gov.au/housing-and-construction/renting-a-place-to-live/renting-a-property-nsw. I don’t know. Maybe it doesn’t even make a difference at all. These are all things we can discover by research, not by just asking people what they kinda reckon.
Submitted. Took about 10-15 minutes I think. Some useful info included with some of the survey questions.
