I am conflicted. Is this image unhinged or hinged?

I think there is a broken pipe in there

[–] itslilith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Great, now the meme's basement is flooded

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 20 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Screws are going the wrong way, aren't they? You want the heads to be flush with the hinge and protrude into the material or else they'll just fall off.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 19 points 9 months ago

True. You have a good eye for construction accuracy. But I guess the photo wouldn't have been as visually effective & humorous if the hinge had been assembled correctly and we couldn't see the screws in the bread.

Finally, my marmalade sandwiches can have internal rhymes

[–] ambrosiaforest@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 9 months ago (1 children)

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 9 months ago

That classic clang on the first bite, that’s the stuff🤤🤤

[–] Piemanding@sh.itjust.works 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

So you turned it into a hotdog?

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 9 months ago

Where god failed, we overcome through technology😎😎😎

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 7 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Regrettably, I'm gluten free, so neither... although the screws might help hold the gluten free bread together. So I'm going for WITH door hinge.

Why thank you fellow hinge-eater.

[–] sxan@midwest.social 5 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Without. Dr. says I have enough iron in my diet already.

[–] doingless@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Yeah I have a couple of people in my family with iron deficiency, the hinge is great for them!

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 months ago

Jsyk they’re making hinges in brass now, all the hinge without the Fe!

Im french and i have never eaten peanut butter in my life, thanks for the link

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Nut butters are egregiously dense in ~~calories~~JOULES, they’re ideal for getting ~~crunked~~bourré on ENERGY (I localized the sentence for French-speakers)

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I was the same as you but married a Canadian and she converted me. It's delicious.

[–] seliaste@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago

Might give it a try then!

[–] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemm.ee 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

If other nut butters are common in France they also work well! My favorite is cashew butter and blackberry jam

[–] seliaste@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Actually I never ate any nut butter at all

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

While debatable that it’s really nut butter (hazelnut), not even Nutella?

[–] seliaste@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Nutella is mostly chocolate with just a pinch of nuts afaik

I do prefer oranges but I'll even eat hinges

[–] Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I somehow remember this image... hmm

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago

Hinged Pbj is an integral part of many people’s childhoods, makes sense {I only shitpost reposts}

[–] frezik@midwest.social 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Depends, are the screws galvanized?

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

P sure the hinges and screws come in either galvanized or brass - your choice for the right that appeals to you with each bite

[–] witty_username@feddit.nl 2 points 9 months ago

Only if you rip out the four-inch screws
And then I want some orange juice

[–] indepndnt@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

how the hell else do you close your sandwich?!

[–] Commiunism@lemmy.wtf 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

love me a pork bean jelly sandwich

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 months ago

Hinge to keep the beans in?

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

why use pbj when fluffernutter exists

[–] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

But with or without hinge???

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)
