The app store says memmy hasn’t received enough reviews to “display a summary”. Let’s change that!

Same. Memmy deserves it.

Good reminder, this app and developer definitely could use the help for creating such a good app for free and being so active and receptive to feedback. Definitely reminds me of the early Apollo days

Anyone figured out how to review on iOS 17 beta?

[–] ndr@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

By the way, you can’t submit a review if you’re currently using the TestFlight version (since complaining about bugs there is not fair and it’s a different version too).

Edit: maybe this is not true anymore, but it won’t let you review on beta software anyway

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

You can’t.

Allowing reviews from people on beta operating systems isn’t fair to developers. People will report bugs and problems that are caused by iOS 17 and not the app.

You can only review from final public builds of iOS.

Not having much luck either.

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Beta operating systems are intentionally restricted from reviewing. You need to be on a final stable build of iOS.

Download the official App Store version, rate it, then reinstall the beta from TestFlight.

Gave it five stars and wrote it down as well. I wish I could give this app six stars

[–] minorsecond@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I keep seeing gifs and photos from this film today. What is it?

[–] alphapro784@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Its from a satirical movie called Starship Troopers and this screenshot is from one scene there at the end of the movie I think

[–] minorsecond@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I know of Starship Troopers but I had no idea this was from that. Thanks!

[–] wheres_my_pinata@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

If you go look it up to watch, just know that the movie bears little resemblance to the book. Both are good, but very different. Just FYI.

Rated it 5 stars, which is deserves!

Came to say “I’m doing my part” but apparently that’s low hanging fruit lol

[–] Efwis@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 year ago

Did my part. This app is great and does exactly why I want it too.

[–] Tommy_the_Gun@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I rated and reviewed!

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Good idea. Just submitted mine.

[–] BeardyGrumps@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Rated and commented! Such a well designed app

[–] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I rated it this morning after downloading it because I saw a post that it was live. I think it can take up to 24 hours to show up

I have never in my life left an app review… until now. 😉

[–] iuseit@iusearchlinux.fyi 3 points 1 year ago

Great app just tried it today

[–] Haldum96@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Rated and gave a glowing review. Hopefully this gets more and more people to join Lemmy and the Fediverse.

[–] zsnell02@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I’m so glad this is how I found out it got approved by Apple lmao

And while you're at it... rate the other, centralized app to 1 Star and tell the CEO to go do something nice to himself...

[–] RemorniaLivingBlade@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Just submitted my review. Thanks for reminding!

I still use the testflight version, should I switch to the appstore version?

[–] Thekingoflorda@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I heard someone say that the app store version will have slower updates because apple will check them. But I’m not 100% sure.

[–] p0ppe@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

That’s usually the case. Beta testers get a constant flow of updates and “normal” users get fewer (and potentially more stable) releases.

[–] mah@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I should switch to the appstore version to avoid the testflight version of the app expiring incase the dev goes inactive

[–] mah@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 year ago

Oh nevermind, it's not available on my appstore

[–] KuroJ@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Submitted mine already! Been using since TestFlight, and it’s amazing to see how much work was put into this app in such a short time

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I worry that poor Memmy is going to get tanked in the reviews because it was launched when instances were not performing. Many instances are only just now stabilizing.

People in r/Apple were really dragging Memmy through the mud because of instance performance issues. And that stuff if out of the control of the client.

[–] ericthered926@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

I would if I wasn’t on iOS 17 😭

Did my part!

[–] jcb2016@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Did my part 😁

Thank you for the reminder! I usually don’t review and completely forgot. On it now!

[–] gornar@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

4.9 rating when I did my review!

[–] McMillan@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Did it! Hop on in folks! Do ya thang!
