For owls that are superb.

Another unique species of eagle owl.

I'd like to tell you about these guys, but very little is known about them.

The only really best fact is that they almost exclusively use stick nests built by the Wooly Neck Stork.

As a reminder, owls do not make their own nests. The fate of owls is bonded to that of other species and specific types of trees and trees of a certain age. That's why we can't focus on saving specific organisms; everything is linked to the success of numerous other creatures.

If you didn't see the introduction to the Spot Bellied Eagle Owl from the other day, make sure you check that out too!

Oh these are the straight up Ru Paul of eagle owls. Look at that pose!

They certainly know how to work what they've got!

I definitely feel weird saying this but the owl on the left looks kinda sexy

The eyes, the smirk, the come hither talons...

You know, I often think owls are cute, or funny, or even handsome, but it'w not often I see one looking noble - even regal! These owls give the bald eagle a run for its money.

Couldn't agree more! The color and posture combined are just perfect to give them a very rugged, yet prestigious look to them.

The 2 in the title post really embody that Teddy Roosevelt in the Rough Riders swagger.

I really liked the flying photo also. It doesn't have a flat face like many owls do. It looked like a swole Peregrine.

These owls remind me of the women from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Well, they are fabulous!

But I think it's pronounced Real Owls' Wives of Atlanta.

The sass from the owl on the right is incredible.

I cannot think how you could get a more excellent pose. I really love that pic!

Wow owls really are the cats of the bird world

[–] anon6789@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

I'm campaigning for cats to be ground owls instead of owls being sky cats.

Owls have all powers cats have, plus flight.

Owls evolved 15 million years ago, while cats are 10-12 million, so owls have been doing it longer as well.

That puts the owls as the example in my book! 😁
