I'm not certain at all, but I doubt its reconnaissance so much as a clean up crew picking off smaller, exposed russian groups.

I don't think that they're conducting reconaissance. I'd guess that it's an assault unit.

The title says that it's the "3rd Brigade".

It's these guys. The unit flag they show at the end when they're raising the Ukrainian flag over the village matches, as does their unit operational history in Wikipedia.
