Labor's policy is to halve the price of all buses in the Brisbane City Council area at all times. Sriranganathan is critical of this because he thinks halving the price isn't good enough, and doing only buses isn't good enough. Instead making it free for buses, trains, and ferries in Brisbane.

It's worth noting that while Council operates buses and ferries, it doesn't operate trains, and the pricing system for all three modes of public transport is headed up by the State Government. He doesn't explain in the video, but does on Reddit, that:

it would be politically difficult for [the State Government] to say ‘no’ to these ideas if BCC offers to fund them.
