I've been on 25mg of 1% gel for about a month. It's astonishing how different it's made me feel. 25mg is not much, and yet it's as if a cloud has lifted from my brain in recent days. A cloud that's been here since my brain was flooded with estrogen during first puberty. Can't wait to see how it'll feel with a higher dosage.

It really seems that there's some truth to the "some brains are wired for estrogen and some for testosterone" theory. What other explanation could there be for this.

Anybody else experienced the same thing?

Congratulations! That’s awesome it’s being so beneficial to you.

To be upfront, I’m a straight cis-man, but you reminded me of a clip of a college professor talking about a difference in the amygdala in men and women that’s consistent whether the person is trans or cis. I’d appreciate the thoughts of someone actually experiencing the lifting of this cloud.

That was fascinating. This lecture exemplifies the kind of thing I miss about college.

Someone from the other side of the aisle here! Yes I had exactly the same, with a small amount. It was like someone cracked the resolution up from 1080 to 8k 🤩

Article about it

Congrats man! And yeah it’s one of those things that’s really easy to write off until you experience the difference

Thanks. Cheers!

Yeah, I definitely did too, and I actually use the gel too. I started on a higher dose than you did though.

I definitely want to get up to a higher dose, as I am not non binary, but I'm worried about what a higher dose will do to my voice. I've heard some guys say that it ruined their ability to sing well and made their voices hoarse and tinny, but I'm curious if that's due to injections, not gel. Did you experience any on that on gel?

I'm not a singer, but I've heard second puberty can be a challenge for singers, but if you're serious about maintaining your singing voice there's ways to do that. Testosterone is testosterone, but being better able to control the dose with the gel might help?
