Cheers! I found a new thing. It will either be delicious or much too sweet

Doesn't matter what you do to Stone's GG wine - instant hangover for anyone over 18. Doesn't matter what you mix it with either. Have written myself off far too many times in my yoof on that shit. Made from hospital grade brandy and offcuts from the glace ginger industry. And hospital grade brandy is distilled grape stalks and seeds and only good for disinfectant. Granted it's quite good disinfectant.
EDIT for l'esprit d'escalier - think of the above as chocolate/orange flavored Handy Andy.

I quite like the Mac version as a winter warmer, but this one isnโ€™t hitting the Terryโ€™s spot I was hoping for.

We used to do hot chocolate powder and cointreau at a bar I worked for a terrys shot.

I went and bought a new downlight globe to replace a dead one in my kitchen and it's flickering :( Urgh why couldn't it just work perfectly?

Sorting the craft stuff into tubs and deciding what to get rid of. I really should be decluttering my wardrobe but turns out it's the newer 'replacement' clothes I want to ditch (plus the still new looking things that don't get worn) and the tatty frequently used clothes I want to keep.

The obvious answer is to get rid of both worn out and unworn items then buy more clothes I will actually wear, but the options in my price range are not looking good. It really seems the quality of clothing has gone down steeply

Maybe some home tailoring to make your new clothes fit better can rejuvenate your wardrobe

Have today off work. Went in to city to get a haircut that was long overdue, had Crossways for lunch, and the weather is perfect. Feeling good ๐Ÿ˜Š

Recent Wikipedia rabbit holes have taken me to some interesting places. Did you know you can cook watermelon rinds?!? Apparently it tastes like a cross between squash/zucchini, carrot and cucumber. I don't normally even buy watermelon but I have to try this out...

I just eat them cut supper thin with x smidge of salt. Cucumber is a reasonable comparison.

Also mad shout for watermelon, feta, mint As a summer salad.

Melon & Lemon jam was a staple of my childhood. That is, jam made from melon rind cooked translucent with lemon juice for the pectin. Very beautiful on the plate or as a topping on pies - 1 cm cubed pale yellowgreen jewels in a sweet/tart matrix. Gorgeous on crumpets. Not made anymore as farmers aren't growing the right kind of melon for jam, which was too bitter and stringy to eat raw but the rind cooked up beautiful. Let us know if watermelon rind cooks up translucent - if so I want to try making jam with it.
