Is there a tutorial you can recommend? Not long after it came out I managed to get it running, but only in desktop mode, and input wasn't working at all.
you will need to add Yuzu as a non steam game in desktop mode then you can find it in game mode on that tab. before launching any games at least for me I have to use the touchscreen to launch them at first.
As for input, check the controller settings then go to controller layouts and the community tab, some people have made layouts for it. you might have to experiment with different ones a bit till you find one you like though.
It has gotten so much better in the last few weeks. Nearly 30fps stable, far fewer crashes. Very enjoyable!
I just finished Ori and the Blind Forest and it was a lot of fun. Really well done game in my opinion. Similar to Hollow Knight, if you've played that.
If you haven't played Hollow Knight, play Hollow Knight.
Here's hoping you move on to Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It's one of my favorite of all time.
Dave the Diver. It's not only the perfect Steam Deck game, it's contender for indie game of the year. There's just so much content and it's all so good!
I can’t wait to dive into this.
Heh.
XCOM2 - trying to play anything to make the wait to Starfield bearable!
Edit: adding to this that it’s a HOG on the battery which blows my mind considering its not all that graphically impressive.
It's all the calculations xcom makes to ensure the move you made was the wrong move draining the battery 😁
X-Com spends a lot of cycles recalculating a 99% success rate in order to hand you a miss.
Mostly Spyro Reignited here, reliving the moments of my childhood in higher definition. Along with Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered.
No Man's Sky, lots of No Man's Sky this last month. Monster Hunter World is installed and ready to go... but I just need to finish something in No Man's Sky first.
For a smaller Indie title, I was playing Aground before the latest NMS community expedition.
My daughter has been borrowing it to play The Lake, and my son and I have been playing Nickelodeon Brawl and Nickelodeon Carts on it.
Been using Yuzu to emulate Tears of The Kingdom. Works so well for the handheld platform.
(For legal reasons this is definitely not actually true please don't sue me daddy Nintendo)
I recently finished psychonauts 2 on the steamdeck connected to the dock. It ran almost perfectly. Some areas that had a lot of activity would drop a bit, but overall it was an amazing experience.
you mean on my brotatoDeck? surely people don't do anything other than use for brotato. I mean, that is what it's for. right? ... right?!?!
Sooo much Binding of Isaac, maybe too much. If you like difficult, rng-based games it's one of the best.
I cannot recommend portal reloaded enough. It's just gotten a co op mode.
I am enjoying my first Horizon Zero Dawn run. I am amazed by the graphics that I am able to squeeze out of the steam deck
I'm seriously addicted to Dave The Diver at the moment.
American Truck Simulator. And I can't stop. I don't know why it's so enjoyable. I have a huge backlog of games to play, but instead I've got a load of Amonium Nitrate to haul to Barstow, CA.
Warframe, some emulated games.
I’ve been playing Zelda ToTK, and can’t get enough. I absolutely love how far emulation has come.
- Risk of Rain 2
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
- Brotato
- 20 Minutes Till Dawn
- Broforce
- Cats Organized Neatly
- Ever Seen a Cat 2
- Call of Juarez
- Postal 2
- ...and of course, Hades
Just finished South Park Stick of Truth, now moving on to Fracture but Whole. They play really well on the deck and had them in my backlog.
Also just picked up Dave the Diver, so looking forward to give that a spin.
Been playing through Dredge this weekend, it's an awesome game for Deck. Very pick up and play
I installed Windows to an SD card and now my partner and I play Call of Duty together from bed in the weekend mornings.
Just finished Doom 2016. Really fun and also to train gyro aiming. Started Wolfenstein new order, but I'm kinda not hooked, probably because gameplay is slower then Doom. Got Dandy Ace in the sale, may just play that for a while.
Also finished Cult of the lamb and tomb raider earlier.
Itching to get diablo 4, but then I won't play anything else and I still have many games I want to try/finish.
Been playing Death Stranding with Deck docked to TV and with a PS4 controller. Works like a charm.
Tomb Raider because 3,60 € was a no-brainer. Ended up buying the whole series in sale...
I‘ve been playing around alot but I enjoy horror and survival horror a lot more on deck than on pc/console
Art of rally
Working on Octopath Traveler 2 and Persona 5 Royal right now.
Been playing a lot of Solasta lately. Also, picked up Inscryption on the Steam sale today, and already hooked.
Witcher 3 almost exclusively for a few months now.
Diablo 4. I was not planning on buying it, but since it works so well on StemDeck I caved in, and I'm having a blast. I love playing it while in bed.
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Death Stranding
- Diablo 2: Resurrected
- Stardew Valley
- No Mans Sky
So far any of those games perform really well. Especially RDR2 is nice to play. The visuals of that game are stunning, but then again Death Stranding is nothing to sneeze at, too
