I plan on keeping Reddit bookmarked for about 2 more months, just to pop in one last time and see what has become of our once precious community. Then I'm deleting everything and never looking back.

Trying the Android app Summit ATM. It's gonna take a lot of getting used to
Is there any app that recreates Apollos ability to disable right swipes (to allow back swipes anywhere on screen), and or allows swipe to collapse comments?
I use less my phone, so it is good.
I like Summit best of the three apps I've tried (Lemmy and Thunder being the other two). It's a pretty bare bones layout and style of navigation, which I prefer.
As for missing reddit, well... it seems like most of the community spirit/attitude was slipping away following the API changes. I'm hoping to find it again here and I like what I see so far!
Edit: yeah no, wefwef blows the rest out of the water, fr
I'm exactly two weeks in, and I LOVE it! all the reddit fiasco was exactly what I needed to wake me up out of my shitty comfort zone. landing on lemmy was really confusing and strange at first, but now I feel like I'm part of something that is developing and growing in the right direction, with all the quirks and hardship that's part of it. it's great, and the wave of people who are coming in, plus the development of apps.. it all feels really pioneering. wefwef is great and liftoff as well. everything is becoming more friendly by the hour & updates.
I like wefwef the best so far (though it's currently broken for me) and Memmy is a close second. :)
I’m doing just fine 💙 need to get out on the water though…
I'm doing my best to transfer anything I found enjoyable on Reddit to Lemmy.World immediately. It will take some time.
Pretty damn happy really. Haven't found an app yet but I think i'll go with wefwef. This site is pretty small but that's why I like it! the overbloat of the internet just gives me headaches these days. -3-
