Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Imagine being so up your own ass that Matt Gaetz is too open-minded and welcoming for you to stomach.

The purity cult will inevitably shrink. Whether it will shrink fast enough to implode before it gives birth to fascism remains an open question.

[–] billiam0202@lemmy.world 41 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Oh they're already at the fascist stage; the question is if they'll devour themselves before they can take control of the government again.

they cant decide who can step and salute high enough to be real republicans

"MAGA is for white people, Matt."

[–] Deceptichum@kbin.social 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Oh, I thought they just had it set to Mhite and had to flip it the right way.

[–] superduperenigma@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

They've definitely set the crazy to "wumbo"

[–] ook_the_librarian@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

Maybe they are saying Gwhite. It's really hard to hear when you say MAGA out like that.

holy cow is that right... 'sir, you are not being racist enough for the maga movement' ??

[–] AlwaysNowNeverNotMe@kbin.social 25 points 10 months ago

Oh he's racist enough. He just understands it's harder to call a group openly racist when there are minority grifters by his side to back him up on his racist takes in exchange for wealth and or power.

Matt Walsh is basically a disgust response wrapped in human skin.

Gaetz made the comment when asked to respond to Donald Trump’s bombastic statements following his latest court appearance in the E. Jean Carroll trial, in which he has been found liable for sexually abusing the former columnist.

He said they could lose white women and replace them with non white men. This is about ramping up the misogyny as far as i can tell.

[–] lledrtx@lemmy.world 47 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Imagine after all the brazen crimes Gaetz has done, the thing that brings him down is calling for diversity LMAO

[–] GilgameshCatBeard@lemmy.ca 26 points 10 months ago

Says a lot about the GOP.

[–] RegalPotoo@lemmy.world 39 points 10 months ago

So they are going to stop canvassing for non-white, non-male votes right? Wouldn't want diversity in the people you have voting for you

[–] Telorand@reddthat.com 25 points 10 months ago

Wow, Matt Walsh, the self-avowed Christofascist tradcath, wants and promotes Nazi purity ideals? Shocking. /s

[–] psycho_driver@lemmy.world 24 points 10 months ago

He likes his latin boys.

[–] dynamojoe@lemmy.world 22 points 10 months ago

The guy that eats his own is getting eaten by his own? Splendid!

[–] Tristaniopsis@aussie.zone 21 points 10 months ago

To be fair, Matt probably doesn’t care about the colour of a girl’s skin as long as they are under 15 and he has access to them.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago

When even Matt Gaetz is too woke for the magasites.

[–] digger@lemmy.ca 15 points 10 months ago

They've never had a problem saying the quiet part out loud.

[–] Mango@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😵😵😵

I can't even.

[–] papertowels@lemmy.one 12 points 10 months ago

Don't tell anyone, but he's probably right.

My folks are immigrants, and having a mother tongue that isn't English makes it so much easier to get captured by misinformation. When there's only one radio station, or two newspapers in your mother tongue, your worldview unfortunately becomes easily shaped...

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

Not surprising. The right wing hates that stuff.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Ya boi got some dark-ass eyes. MF drinking vodka all night.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Let's not start blaming alcohol for anything. I'm on my way to a fifth of whiskey tonight and I'm not some MAGA weirdo. I'm just out here getting drunk and overtipping Uber drivers.

[–] Texas_Hangover@lemm.ee 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I appreciate your username 🍻

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

I'm feeling more like your username this morning.

[–] 520@kbin.social 12 points 10 months ago

Probably alongside a 15 year old he's been pressuring to get wasted.
