Yes, it's very exciting. The Orange Pi 4 Router Board, which is essentially an Orange Pi 4 with 4 Ethernet ports and lots of RAM, is retailing for £100 on AliExpress. Get one of these, throw it in a case and put OpenWRT of FreeBSD on it and then you have an ultra low device perfectly capable of managing your home network(s). IIUC of course.
