The EcoClipper500 has a carbon footprint of 2 grammes of CO2 per tonne-kilometre, which is five times less than the carbon footprint of a container ship.
I expected the difference to be so much bigger than this. I knew steel was heavy on emissions, but I didn't think it was that bad. It really demonstrates how important it is to curb steel production and use less damaging materials, but that's going to be a really sharp cliff for us to climb.
