The Wi-Fi 7 (AKA 802.11.be) spec delivers the usual improvements you’d expect, like improved speed and transmission, but the Alliance also calls out latency improvements for wireless VR use-cases like using Steam Link on Quest.

latency with wireless vr has been a big issue for me. this is exciting!

Too bad the latency is really high encoding/decoding. I was really hoping the q3 would have a faster decoding, and Nvidia 4x didn't really help speed encoding either.

I'm lucky enough that my quest 2 + steam link runs very well. But this sounds like i'm going to forget i'm in VR with the quest 3 + wifi7
