I have a pair of Meze Noir from mass drop that are pretty nice sounding. I have a big noggin and big ears so they are not comfy for long hours as they press on the edges of my ears but they do sound great. Very lively sound compared to my akg k240 which I use daily.

Seconding the Meze noir from Drop, great v shaped tuning and easy to drive - they run flawlessly on an apple dongle
I've got the 770 80ohms. I bloody love them. They're the only cans I can wear for more than an hour at a go, and the sound is great.
I’ve had the Sennheiser 599s (Open Back) for a long time now. I’ve always thought they were quite comfort. My ears tend to get sore if I wear tighter headphones or if a pit puts pressure in an odd spot it hurts. So these Sennheisers seem to have gotten the fit just right for me at least. They have a closed back version (it might be the 598s). Sound is also great, full range. I think the base is on the weaker side but that doesn’t matter much for me as I use them for video and audiobook/podcasting. You can always find Sennheisers on sale online.
I’m also a huge fan of my Sony wh1000xm3. Holds a charge for a long time (as long as you remember to turn them off when not using them.) Bluetooth connection works through walls and across my yard. Blocks a lot of noise. But I know some snobs aren’t into it’s popularity.
The wh1000xm4 are supposed to be really great too. Haven't heard much about the xm5 yet
Everyone else has had great suggestions too. I want to throw in the Focal Elegia for your consideration. They're very comfortable closed backs with interchangeable cables too.
I love my DCA closed X, can be had used for $300 I think. Super light and comfy, and takes EQ really well
