I've heard of Pixelorama which is pretty cool, and I saw some videos of someone making a video editor in Godot. I was wondering if anyone else has tried making non-game applications in Godot?

We have used Godot for a application that labels large numbers of documents for ML training data. I've also used it to show my wife the couch she wants to put in our living will absolutely dominate the space and leave no space to have dinner comfortably.

Somebody uses Godot to make an open-source UI for launching (and managing?) games on handhelds: https://github.com/ShadowBlip/OpenGamepadUI

The luster on this fact isn't what it used to be, but Tesla uses Godot for visualization. I feel like they also at least used to use it for some UI work as well.

It would be interesting for live visuals if it supported some kind of video out, like spout/syphon/ndi

I have been working on and off on a Substance Painter clone, and I'm pretty happy with the Godot's UI and rendering capabilities. GDScript can be a bit of a hindrance because of the dynamic typing. That got better in Godot 4 though.

I believe Material Maker uses Godot and I believe I've seen a couple of other things too! I've debated it by my desire to make non-game projects is slim. However, if I needed to make a program I'd probably use Godot because I love the UI system and it just makes things a bit easy compared to Python and Tkinter 😆

Yeah every time I look at coding a gut it always seems so complicated and I'm like nah I'll just use Godot lol
