Would highly recommend not watching the history channel show of this unless you want to watch 20 minutes of recaps and “next ons” for every 5 minutes of content + unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about the knights Templar

I watched for a bit, a few seasons back. Once they had some people on who claimed they could detect diamonds and emeralds from satellite imagery, I dropped it.

It's a shame, because I read about Oak Island when I was a kid in the 70s and really wanted a serious investigation and discovery.

I tried once, and got through about 10 minutes. There are a ton of other resources out there that are far more informative and entertaining

17 years ago my husband and I were visiting a friend in Nova Scotia to see if we wanted to move here (we did) and she knew Dan Blenkinship and arranged for a private tour of the site, so we got to see the money pit, 10X and had tea with Dan and his wife. A great experience to have after reading about Oak Island as Brit kid

That's awesome. Just judging from the show, Dan Blankenship seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

I read about this in a 'unsolved mysteries' books my grandma had, in the nineties. When I saw much later that they were still going at it I knew it was a huge hoax... I mean we found the Titanic and the Bismarck on the ocean floor, how can this island's secrets still elude us.
