Lost reddit migrator here, how do I subscribe to a lemmy community from my kbin social account using the kbin webapp? Or am I not understanding what federation means? (kbin.social)

Lost reddit migrator here, how do I subscribe to a lemmy community from my kbin social account using the kbin webapp? Or am I not understanding what federation means?

I tried Jebora for Lemmy app and see communities I want to subscribe to, but if I search for them here I cannot find them.

@Futurespeed so the easy to explain way is just go three lines at top left of screen >> magazines and then search for it to subscribe for example !brisbane@aussie.zone just search without the exclamation mark.
