Unable to subscribe to this community from kbin. It comes up when searching lego on https://browse.feddit.de/ , but doesn't show in the magazine list on kbin. (lemmy.world)

Lego works, but that's a different community. This is legostorage

https://kbin.social/m/legostorage@lemmy.world gives a 404 error.

I didn't do the search because I want you to be the one to do it, lol.

TL;DR: Search for "legostorage@lemmy.world" first, then subscribe from there. Then you can access it via link.

I followed that process and it worked. Thank you!!

I'd previously searched for legostorage@lemmy.world through the search box, but it never came up. When I did the url like the example with the search parameter it worked.

Glad to hear it worked out! I forgot exactly what I typed when I was trying to federate that community I was looking for. So a couple of follow-up questions, if you don't mind lol. Still trying to wrap my head around this stuff, myself.

Where did you do the search? Is it here or here?
When you say that "legostorage@lemmy.world" didn't work for you, did you mean you had to type in "@legostorage@lemmy.world" instead (with the @ sign at the start)?
